I’m an NCTJ-trained journalist, compulsive blogger (when I can find the time!), and social reporter. I also have a day job as international sales manager at a children’s book publisher in London. I try to fit in my journalistic activities around that and my insane four/five-hour commute a day…
Since I discovered a passion for web platforms and digital technology, I have been trying to acquire as many ‘geeky skills’ as possible to keep up with the fast-changing face of 21st century media.
I got involved with Help Me Investigate because I am interested in the power of crowdsourcing and love stories that dig deep, in search of news treasures. Investigative stuff.
Since then I have had the honour of being sponsored by HMI to train on the College of Investigative Journalism’s summer course and was asked to help launch HMI in Brighton – which I am delighted to do, of course.
